Wreaths Across America, RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter
On 15 December, 2007, NCBC Sea Cadets joined with the Rhode Island chapter of the Patriot Guard Riders (motto: "Standing for Those Who Stood for US"), and thousands of other Americans around the country, as we spent the day remembering those who sacrificed so that we could continue to enjoy this holiday season. The overflow crowd was addressed by Major General Robert Bray, the Adjutant General of the RI National Guard. After the ceremony, Sea Cadets assisted the staff and volunteers from the RI Guard Family Assistance Center and the Girl Scouts in ceremoniously placing holiday wreaths at 30 memorial locations around the cemetery.
