Santa Sails Into Wickford With The Sea Cadets
| On 1 December, 2006, NCBC Sea Cadets engaged in an evening of community service, sailing into Wickford Harbor with Santa. Instead of a sleigh and reindeer, Santa and his helpers from NBC 10 WJAR TV, led by meteorologist Kelly Bates, cruised to a dockside landing aboard the Sea Cadet training vessel Sea Princess. In addition to bringing Santa into the village by sea, the Cadets assisted with safely boarding Santa's many visitors for the evening, and then putting them ashore after their time with St. Nick.
