On a beautiful summer day on August 10th, 2008, Sea Cadets and League Cadets from around the country assembled on the parade ground at Fort Devens, Massachusetts, to participate in a time-honored ceremony - graduation from Recruit Training. Sea Cadet Recruit Training and League Cadet Orientation (both commonly known as "Boot Camp") is held annually by the Regional Training Command, New England, and is sponsored by NSCC Region 1-1. NCBC Cadets were represented in all four areas of training, sending League and Sea Cadet recruits, and both League and Sea Cadets that served as staff Cadets for the training. Our senior Sea Cadet also successfully completed the Petty Officer Leadership Academy (POLA) during her staff Cadet assignment, pulling double duty to qualify for this rigorous training regimen.
