On the weekend of 28-29 June 2008, NCBC Sea Cadets of NCBC participated in the annual Rhode Island National Guard Open House & Air Show at Quonset Point, RI. The Cadets spent two beautiful, albeit hot, days enjoying the show, and the Cadets provided opportunities for fundraising efforts with several of the vendors as well. It was an extraordinary weekend, both in sights and sounds, with the Sea Cadets getting a ringside seat to many of the events during the air show (including some events not seen by the general public). All proceeds from the Open House / Air Show are donated to charities throughout Southern New England, with the Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence being the single greatest recipient of funds.
