On 25 September, 2005 the NCBC Battalion Sea Cadets marched in the South Kingstown Fireman's Memorial Parade to honor the memory of the fallen firefighters of South Kingstown and to honor the active, fully volunteer fire department. The parade featured fire apparatus from around New England, along with music, theater organizations, antique cars and tractors, as well as Naval Station Newport's own Navy Band.
