Armed Forces Salute Concert, North Kingstown, RI
On Saturday evening, 9 May 2009, the NCBC Sea Cadets joined with the combined Color Guards and representatives from the Pawtuxet Rangers, R.I.M. 1774, the RI National Guard, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion in a dramatic opening ceremony for the annual Armed Forces Salute Concert by the famous Lafayette Band of Rhode Island. The combined members of the color and honor guard filled the well of the auditorium, and were led by Colonel Ronald W. Barnes, the Commanding Officer of the Pawtuxet Rangers. During the intermission of the concert, the Sea Cadets performed a flawless flag presentation and folding ceremony for the audience, which filled the auditorium of North Kingstown High School.
