1/126 Army Aviation visit, RI National Guard
| On 16 December, 2006, NCBC Sea Cadets trotted down the road to pay a visit with our neighbors at Quonset Point - A Company, 1st Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment, Rhode Island Army National Guard, located at the Army Aviation Support Facility at Quonset Point. The Cadets took the opportunity to check out the regiment's brand new Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk helicopter, and practiced donning flight gear and received a briefing on aircraft components, capabilities, and features. The Cadets also took advantage of an opportunity to learn about aircraft support operations and the critical need for state of the art maintenance and the highly skilled support crews needed to keep the craft flying and the crew safe.
